The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is a remastered version of Skyrim released in October 2016 and only available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. My first thought on this was that the program is aimed, largely, for people whom wouldn't mod/mod properly otherwise. But that's not a bad thing as it means Bethesda can finesse Starfield and have the Creation 2 engine polished for the next TES game. During their E3 2017 presentation, they introduced their Creation Club for Skyrim and Fallout 4. Bethesda is taking another swing at the paid mods thing, it seems.
